Dr. Cohen’s seminar on Sep. 22, 2008

As a former chemist, I have knowledge background in physics. Attending today’s Dr. Cohen’s seminar, today, I felt like I became an undergraduate student again, traveling with the Time Machine and enjoying the best of human knowledge. I am so grateful for having this opportunity!

Dr. Cohen began his talk with the activities related to the World Year of Physics in 2005 when he served as President of the American Physical Society as well as ended his talk with quote from Einstein. Leading audience travel back to the beginning of condensed matter physics, he discussed different theory modelsĀ  as well as his current research on the electronic structure of solids, especially materials.
